so , how do you like your kicks?
would u rather the 'techno' style with fat oomph and lots of reverb or the ultra clean dry 'trance' kick ?

you said it.. when its more dark and heavy i like it a bit dirty, but most of the times i like it as clean as it can be.. anyone heard "hallucinogen - sahbby trance"? this is for me the cleanest kick i would love to make that kind of kick.. |

I'd also say it depends on what style you re doing. right now I'm working on a track with 2 kicks layered, where one of them is heavily distorted...but its for a kinda dark track tough. usually I'd say clean kick.

dirty uk trance/acid techno kicks all the way.
these are layered kicks made with more than 1 sine wave and sometimes a closed hat or something like layered in.
IMO them basic clean single sine wave kicks sound thin, weak and boring compared. |

Clean, and especially when used in minimal techy stuff 
They need a perfect amount of blip to them though or they get boring, not any dirty or noisy type of blip, just that little Kindzadza touch..
