Was just thinking about the parallels between bad political speeches and bad music.
They both appeal to the bare necessities of the audience, basic emotion, basic story, basic rhythm.
Amazing how the appeal of baser techniques has greater audiences.
Seems like the bigger you want your audience, the dumber the content should be.
What do you guys think? |

If you catagorize people in two rows: dumb and smart...
Let's say dumb people are in majority, and you want both world on your side, middle line goes in favour of dumb people, so you must concern your primary goal at that type of people.
If minority of smart people is really small, you focus on majority ofc.
In terms of music, you make music for producers to admire your skills, or for all people to enjoy, but you are more concern to be accepted by majority that don't care if you routed whole bunch of stuff and use some exotic scale, they just want to feel happy and safe in very well known area 
Use ordinary speech or techniques and go with it or try to speak smart and left with only smart people listening at full attention  |

Thats not quite what I meant Xsze.
Its almost like tools used to influence. To make you peoples bitches. Dance to the jig of the one or the other using basic predictable tricks.
Feel almost victimized. Feel like fisherman are casting nets to capture the vulnerable. |

Like I said, you know your audience, you know the way,risks and boundaries....
You know what to talk about that is proven in the past or have great impact on people and most important you have system that made that shit normal
To be specific:
On one side you have majority of people that only know things that they heard on tv and that is everything to them, every day that shit become normal and every new shit that is served they accept, because they are use to it...
On other side there are people that don't take that shit for granted ,they think, explore, create....
Simple as that, you don't care about music/politics that much and you don't give a damn to explore or think further or you are very interested in something and you want to know more and everything....
