With "Smackman" on the a-side Poker Flat label boss Steve Bug delivers another hip shaking track handwritten in his unmistakeable but fresh style. „I-Thought“ on the b-side starts with a clever beat-construction and a great bassline before some smart sound-gimmicks lead over to the first break. There he is again: Argy! Since summer 2005 almost everybody might know the London based Greek for his Poker Flat debut „Love Dose“. The Luciano remix found immense approval on all dancefloors around the world and was voted as the „Best Remix of 2005“ by German Groove magazine and #05 in De:Bug magazine. Now, Argy presents his follow-up on Poker Flat. Three tracks appear on this brilliant EP, all showing slightlly differenet facets of Argy’s musical style. A young talent to watch out for in the future! The party starts with „Night Ritual“ on the A-side. This track is an exciting mixture of minimal Tech House with Tribal or Progressive elements. An always forward pushing short bassline and some clever and spooky sounds and samples are the gainful ingredients. On the flip side you'll find „Poke Her Flat“, which proves one more time Argy’s ability to produce excellent club tracks. A simple but massive and effective beat and bass construction with a whipping lead sound which will roll in your brain directly. Last but not least, it’s "Cry Like A Girl" on B2, which goes a more minimal and frisky way. A clever arrangement paired with well chosen sounds and effects make this track this yummy.

John Tejada is back on Poker Flat and we are happy to serve this exquisite new single on Steve Bug’s imprint to you. After having released some amazing tracks on his own label „Palette Recordings“ and the enormous success of „Sweat (on The Walls)“ way back in November 2004, John now returns to Poker Flat with two slammin’ new tracks. „Big City Music“ has this very special hip-shaking beat construct. The track just starts with one hihat, one short shaker, dry claps paired with two simple lead sounds. One of them repeating itself until the end and one to be morphed up and down, increasing and decreasing all the time. An exciting journey through changing tone lengths and different faces of at least one melody. On the flip side you find „Asanebo“, another unique smasher. Again this funky groove, but the sound surrounding comes a bit more spheric and mystic. An excellent track to loose yourself on the floor.
