magnetrance, write down what is your CPU, soundcard, how much RAM you have, and into which socket did you plug your MD into.

My friend has this problem too, and his problem is that his Sound Card suck. Those 20 nis cards... Suck totally at recording stuff. |

here's the solution: disable your VIA onboard card via BIOS,and buy a real sound card (not nesseccarily pro-audio)
e.g. SB Live. costs 300 shekels.
or Creative PCI 128 (Ensoniq1371) - 170 shek.
then try recording.
besides when you try recording, plug the MD into Line-IN, not the mic. and play with the levels before recording.

You can't [i]record[/i] with an on-board sound device (not even a card). Go buy a SB live, like Bilbo said. |
