OK SO check this out.
I have a finished song and im sending it to my friend so he can master it. Suppose I recorded Filtercuttoff automation into a midi lane assigned to ablino using my behringer BCR2000 and doing it the MIDI LEARN way (not the generic remote way). How come when my friend opens the project, he sees the midi automation but its not affecting his Albino??
Please help, we got a deadline coming up for this tune and need to finish it ASAP. |

If you are sure the cutoff was recorded as automation data, then there's probably some weird problem. But if you have recorded the midi data of your knob movement, your friend will have to connect that midi cc# to the albino cutoff knob.

why not simply export the ecs settings. check the ecs button there's a way to dump it. your friend can import the ecs file and it should be done.
the manual describes this pretty good.

trip: i recorded the data with midi not automation because I did it all live and i have all the automations in separate midi channels so i can see them.
The idea is to save time and for him not to re-map all the CC numbers. WHat i don't understand is this: if I turn my Behringer controller OFF, the automation still works. So I'm assuming Cubase is intelligent enough to somehow store the information without a controller so why shouldn't it work on his end.
sideFXed: good point forgot u can do this!
what about if im not using albino though?

john c most midi learn vst store your settings one way or another. check out the main folder of the vst for txt files or your song folder.

john c,
it's not about if you turn on or off the controller. MIDI learn is a rather project individual procedure I suspect.
What happens when your friend opens the project, is that there is some MIDI data recorded for a controller, but 'his albino' doesn't know that cutoff was midi learned to that cc# ...
So either he does a midi learn to that specific cc#, or he transfers the midi information to the current controller that is assigned to the cutoff.
I'm not sure but maybe albino's routing matrix can be of a help.
