I'm using albino and v-station, but i can't make it sound like yours =(
What VST should I use?
MAybe you can give me some pressets?
I'd like to know, how to make a full-on bass...

And most important - what should i do to make my own kick?

I'm sorry if this question was posted before, could you give me some links then? =)

the most important thing is try knocking out the bass note when the kick plays so its like
k b b b k b b b k b b b k b b b
just move some bass notes around and you will evnetually get it.

thank you slyman, this is what i was getting at in my post. i'm glad somebody gets a straight answer when they ask a question.

all i got was 'go do a search' when i'd already done a few, and already lurked through the backpages for days.

try using the vb-1 VSTi for your bassline. that's what i'm playing with right now, i'm still tweaking my settings though looking for the right sound. it's freeware too =]

anyone recommend some good freeware VSTi's for good leads. i'm using a couple free lead guitars i found, but they sound cheap and i don't like them very much.

i've used muon tau pro and am now using the vb1 for basslines. if your vst brings out a full enough bass sound, you can shape it to your liking with some eq and compression. the vb1 is used by a lot of pro artists, and can sound very powerful.

for making your own kick - search for infected mushrooms website - they have a kick tutorial.

and yes - all this and more has been discussed a billion times on this forum. USE THE SEARCH!

everybody uses the same....so why not try out something new psyhole?
just play around...experiment. you might not want to sound like any of these hundreds of other artists, do you?
a good bass can be made with any synth out there. my choice is vanguard, it has a warm, heavy sound when it comes to bass.

try to look at some bass vst at the web check few that you like and start tweaking with those , but if you ask me let me suggest you workung with samples before.
at the beginig it's much more convinien to work with and there are endless typs and choises.
try first find the right bass sound you want to get later on start adjusting it right with EQ and Comp.
good luck           <One learns people through the heart, not the eyes or the intellect>

Also very important to get a good groove is the size of the bass notes, also experiment with this

the VB-1 is used on tons of records these days,
its great because you dont have to screw around much to get a good sound. Just roll off all the high freqs with an eq and your pretty much good to go.
the "pro" sound has alot more to do withe production than with the actual synth used.
For cheap leads try discodsp, your not going to be able to do the FM psytrance leads much cheaper than that.

hello there, I have a tutorial on many things on my website:
http://www.freewebs.com/beatlabstudios
look for tutorials on main page. There is a kick and bass creation tutorial. The kick tutorial was provided by EreZ (Infected Mushroom)
I have many recommendations on which good VST's to use, what shapes to use, envelopes on filters and amp to apply, everything you might need. the demos on my page have some of those basses you can create. I really recommend reading the tutorial, many people have been helped, and has received good feedback from well known artists.
i hope this helps

Oh, sorry, just another recommendation, dont use VB-1, compared to what you can do with multi-oscilator synthesizer with envelopes and routing matrixes, vb-1 is by far an oldy.
