hi all
is there anyone here who knows how to make pluggins? i mean actually write the software. i have something in mind but not the skills.

I know access (the company which made virus synths) published a book which explains how to write vst's.
There is also a program called SynthEdit which makes vst's.

You can build your own softsynths in Reaktor 4, which allows you to structure a synth from a transistor level if you want to work that hard (you can make your life easier and use premade oscillators and stuff).

but why do u want to do this, if we may know? Maybe there is a plugin which can do what you want....!

sorry if u want to write some software, in that case go ahead with ur research...but if u feel that existing plugins don't give u a certain feature, then it's better to check first (imho)

well i know c++ but isnt it even more important to know about audio signal processing and math?

just gimme more of the same. its just a test!

I'm gonna try that software but I'm not very optemistic about my writing skills - last time i wrote a software was using Basic.....

from first look this SYNTHEDIT is not what i'm looking for. i dont wanna build a synth - i wanna make a plugin - a delay to be more specific. pls dont give me names of delays u know that I can use - if I want to build a delay that means ive used most of them and came unsatisfyed....
anyway, if u know a bored software programmer who's into sound - let me know (where's Max - bilbo - when u need him?)

Alot of fx-plugs are made with synthedit.
