Please Help - Visiting Greece

Hi
I am planning on travelling Greece for a month in May and as this is my 1st time I do not know which places to go to. If anyone can till me nice chilled hippy spots please let me know. Since Greece is such a big country and i only have a month pls tell me which parts of Greece I should definately go to and which parts i can leave out. I am NOT looking for commercial and tourist places. Also if there are any festivals or full on parties in May? PLEASE HELP

chill not commercial spots....hmmm
Samothraki island is a unique experience...It has wild and pure nature there...
Halkidiki sithwnia and athos (not kassandra)
olympos mountain
peloponissos is beautiful also (spilea diru,gytheio) and many more
krete island is awesome
just a few of thousands of choices available.

im just joking i eye there are none many hippies but you can go to old hippie places like matala crete to see were the hippies use to go in the 70 s samothraki as the other guys wrote is a beutiful island/ also parties happen in crete on beach clubs /and if some fest, will happen it will be posted on this forum so dont worry . the offer still stands for a cafe in kolonaki he, he, since you are a state female, |

Haha no cafe doesnt sound like my kind of place. . im looking for more chilled out places which are beautiful, cheap and have plenty to smoke
I'll keep checking about the parties though ..Are most parties in clubs only? are there no raves outdoors on the beach or in the forests?

I'm afraid you're gonna have QUITE a shock if you're expecting a chilled place full of hippies with lots to smoke and frequent forest parties. The situation in this country is NOT what anyone should expect.
Many beautiful chilled and cheap places with hippies around (I personally recommend Antiparos or any of the tiny islands below Naxos) but try and find out a bit more what things are like on the outdoor party scene and with the smoking matters before going around asking randoms on the spot... |
