I have one question. If you make shorter kick about 0.200 sec an then put bass notes after them isn't this like sidechaining.?
Never let computers to win a game! :)

Milosh if the kick doesn't cross with the bass then you don't need side chain. Side chain uses envelope of one group to change another group. Side chain is much soft and precise rather cutting any elements by your own. |

tried the peak controller too but not managing to get the settings right
send kik to fx 1
send bass to fx2
insert peak controller on fx 1
un mute
link to volume of fx 2 (with peak function only)
make mapping formula inverted
and then what must i play with to get proper sidechain
i have tried almost everything playing with all knobs everything
but just does not work
i dont get to place all 4 bass notes (even over kik)
PLEAse Help
thx

Beside sidechaining with the peakcontroller it is more precise to set a lower velocity for the bass notes that are playing together with the kick.
Or u automate a eq that cuts low freqs from the bass when it plays together with the bass.
Therefore u can use a layer to which u link ur kick and a keyboard controller. Link the velocity or the eq volume to the keyboard controller. So everytime a kick is played the eq filter will be set in and u get a clean kick+bass combo.

Hey EYB
maybe a lil more detailed way to sidechain using tc works if its possible to get excellent results
i have tried just inserting a copy of the bass channel and usinng that for the 1st note with kik and eqing it to not intefere with kik freq
however ive been tryin to sidechain day in day out withoout gettin the kind of sound i desire
Would love some enlightenment

This is also a very good way to play bass and kick together. Here u got the full control about everything.
The tc sidechainer works quite easy, just put the compressor on the bass fx channel and the tc sidechainer on the kick channel (havn't got it at the moment, so no 100% perfection in description ) then just set the same channel to both and voila u got the bass sidechained.
