Please help me understand how to make this synth sound

I think if I understood how such a synth sound is made, it would open up a lot of ideas for me. So please check this:

around 32 secs you really hear the synth im talking about. That harsh grumbling sounding synth. Pulsewidth modulation on the FM amount? I have no idea  Please shed some light. I use mainly Z3ta+ and Albino2. Thanks so much in advance. |

Wich one of the synths where you talking about? The first one sounds like a tb303 or some simulation of that. Try it ot (for ex. Audiorealism Bassline, its my boss and a friend of him who has made it  ) and play with accent and velocity  |

Well... a similar sound can definitely be made on Albino2.
Here is a brief description of the sound I found which sounds abit like this:
Osc 1 (digital):
RichSaw2 16" Organ1 32"
(slider about 1/4 across closer to the left)
Oct = -1
FM
Osc 2 (analogue)
Waveform = square (fully rotated to right)
Symmetry = slightly to the left of halfway
Semi 7
Oct 2
Filter 1 (Cream):
LP 24
Cutoff approx 1300
Env 0.80
Play with the ADSR and hopefully it should give you a quite nice sound to start off with
HOPE this is the kind of sound you are talking about!

thanks very much nikc. I will try this when i get home! I will let you know if this is the sound im looking for.
Fragletrollet: i only hear one distinct synth in the 32 sec mark. Doesnt sound like a 303 at all. |

also Nikc, it sounds like as the notes are held down longer for the melody, the sound gets more intense. Do you think an LFO affecting the cutoff or FM amount would help? |
