Hi All,
I know I post this topic a couple of times, but I am keen to find the ambient music I had in 1997. I do not know the artist's name and the copied cassette I had had been lost.
If you have any suggestion who could be the artist who made this track, or if you have couple of artists that you think, who might be one of them, please send it to me, do not matter if you are not sure, just please send your suggestion!
I had a copied slightly bad quality cassette in 1997, which contained to most beautiful ambient music I heard in my life. There were some type of music on that cassette: one of them sounded like under water, there was a pulsating bass. The other track was a pulsating swirling synth number, but the most significant track was the following:
The basic sound was that typical constant (a bit distorted at some places) synth drone - similar to what you hear might be on Liquid Mind albums - this drone sound was on every 1980-90's ambient track. In the backgroup there was sounds, like children laughing (I think one of them coincidently drop a bicycle, which fell to the ground). You could hear some kind of aliens talking or warning, shouting (basically I think it was human talking slowed down, modified - and therefore it sounds like a deep slow inarticulated growl). Top of the background sounds and the drone there was a very very slow sad piano sound, this track was really slow. This track was a really heartwrecking and otherworldly. I think the wind was blowing in the background as well.
If you have any suggestion, please let me know. I would check any suggestion, so if you are not sure, doesn't matter please write it to me, I really want to find this artist. This was the best ambient I've ever heard. Thanks in advanced! |

Ok, ok! This one is a tough nut to crack but I guess you can try to listen to everything "Jean-Michel Jarre" have produced. And that's ALOT! Also you could look into the artist "Spacetime Continuum". That dude have produced some weird ambient stuff through his days, I'll promise ya.
And then you have "Solar Quest"...
And the final one, YNOS, with their record "Chill Out Sector" from 1995. That one is totally drone-ish.
Well
Good luck! |

I've got lots of ambient electronica, but I've got no idea where to start!
You could try ones such as Vangelis, Klaus Schulze, or maybe Brian Eno, Pete Namlook, Aphex Twin, William Orbit...
It would be great if you could use some midi software to approximate the piano melody
