please help ,cubase problem

i've got cubase (bought it!)and installed it.
when i press the play buttom it's fine but when pressing stop the computer stuck.
i have :
pent 3 1000mhz - cpu
soundcard- live platinum 5.1
ram - 256
motherboard 133mHz
so there should be no hardware problem's.
the asio test on setup went thrwo o.k.
so what the hell is the problem ?
i need your help guy's ,i'm enxius to work with it.

try reinstalling the ware.

hi .
When you open the Cubase goto 'Options' - 'Audio Setup' - 'System'.
try to switch the asio multimedia to another asio engine.
make sure that you have enough space on disk.
if all of this dont work then close Cubase.
goto START -> Program files -> Steinberg -> Asio Multimedia Setup -> Advanced Options.
put the sample rate on 44100Hz
stand on every output and press on 'Detect Buffer Size' when it finish press on 'Check Buffers and Sync' , put the test Period on at least 200 Sec's and press Start if it came ok then do this on every single Output / Input.
after that run Simulation.

o.k i have tryied this: the buffer size is 5
sample 5512.
in the setup pop-up there is 2 section's :
1 - output ports 2 - input ports
i have only in the input port sync ref what does that mean is that currect setup?
the problem is still existing.
what about the fullduplex it is also not active should i make it active ?

try tp do the test both to the input & output
