When i started listing to trance it was via infected mushrrom (classic mushroom) Now its been about 2.5 years now and i stoped hearing infected a long time ago( not becouse of there new non trance cd cuzz i heared it soo much) Well today i listen to x-dream irritant(must have cd!!!) And after that i put the classical disc again, But its not the same music, Infected bearly has any bass Due X-dream (and lots of more artist put alot of bass) Well lets reach the question, Is it trance??? , Like infected cd is trance and now what you hear is psytrance-psytchno , And if soo can you list me some trance artist?

see it goes like this:
psy, melodic, progressive, minimal, full on, etc are just sub genres of trance..
infected mushroom is imho both melodic & psy
x-dream is imho just progressive

I think X-Dream is more Psy Techno, along with some other german producers like Midi Miliz and Delta. I tend to associate progressive with a lighter, slower bpm sound. Though the two are related, of course. |

well i don't think x-dream is "psy techno" at all cause imo their music isn't psychedelic at all..

It depends what you define as psychedelic. Some people find iron-ore-refining-plant noises very psychedelic.
Drope - it's not fullon vs prog. It's techno vs prog now

But I think heavy machinery has a certain sex appeal, yeah.
That's the roots of industrial music, right there, before it got appropriated by the Dark Side. And yes, there are a few tracks out there, by the likes of Altom, DPOD (an old 12" on Flying Rhino), Kuro, Spirallianz, and yes, X-Dream, that have a truly industrial edge to them - not unlike Einsturzende Neubaten stuff - talk about clanging machinery, they actually make the music with sledgehammers, chainsaws, and the like. They are pretty psychedelic, imo, though not in the traditional 'ah, let's gaze at the stars' kind of way.
Most psy-techno is rather smooth, dark, dance-oriented stuff, though. And yes, I do find it psychedelic, no less so than, say, Noma or Llopis.

WhY The artist dont put there subgenre in the cd cover??
And thasnks to all the ppl that helpet me undrestand a litel better.

Yeah, I agree, we (psy-goalist, mistakenly called fullonists) already beated the hell out of them and r waiting for u at the finals
