Please don't buy "Fungus Funk - F People"

I recently bought the “Fungus Funk – F People” CD & it has a defect (please see the emails below). I informed SaikoSounds on 23rd August who in turn informed the label “Acidance” and after nearly a month they have not even bothered to reply. I guess people like me who paid $15 & bought the CD are fools and the people who downloaded it are the smart ones.
I have reproduced the mails below:

The music is not that great anyway so really doesnt make much of a difference .. too bad you got a bad copy of an average release ..
are they replacing your copy ??

Yea i bought a defected CD once as well. Nobody wanted to replace it either. If it was a local Tower Records there wouldn't be no problem at all. But with online shops, it's a hit'n'run relationship. Though i'm pretty sure that with Amazon it wouldn't happen. Everyone in the world is doing something without me |

defintly.. dont tell me someone actualy buy cd and dj it without proper listen.. 
hope they will give you new copy (good one!)
that title tho.. is not so polite.. would you like FF to see it like that? is that ihis fault ? mention the defect , advise peaple to buy it in store and listen to the copy they get in this specific track (in the shop).. abit nicer hey.. www.sattelbattle.com

its funny that as the acidance cd i bought recently was mastered at -3db which means it cant be played out on a rig!!!cant remember the name now,the one with a booklet of lots of tortured people and delimbed bodies |

It is still unprofessional... still, I just ripped, normalized, and reburnt a copy for my binder. A hassle, but at least it can be fixed (unlike actual track errors)...

I wrote to Fungus Funk too & he replied sorry but he cannot help me.The least he could have done is tell me that he will atleast have a word with the record label about the matter. And well yesterday Acidance records replied that they cannot do anything about it.
So yes I do feel cheated,a bit pissed & not so nice about it.

well, this is the first i personally have heard of this problem, but definately sounds like a manufacturing error... especially if it didn't happen on all copies.... unfortunately, at this time, i know of no plans to have the cd reprinted. as such, punit, if you would like to message me your email address, i will happily send you a wav file of the complete track with my appologies for this unfortunate situation.

I think this is nice gesture.........it was obviously a simple manufacturing error.....and the people that purchased the cd and supported the label and artist i think it is great that you guys keep supporting labels and artists as well........
we all know that most of the labels are barely making it financially and appreciate all the support $$ financially they get.....and for the labels to be able to reproduce a copy and manufacture another one would most likely put them in a serious bind........im sure it wont happen to often again..........and at least you will get it in WAV........
so anyway.......
