I already got a pc that works fine with games, but a playstation 3 would be nice to,especially when you are playing with some friends and want to play at the same time |

Don't be silly, PC gaming is getting deader by the hour.
PS3 is a great great choice. It's addictive as hell and has a growing library with some awesome exclusives and of course the multiplatformers. Tell me what kinds of games you like and I'll tell you what can you get.
Also, it has a Blu Ray and can function as a Media Streamer which is a huge plus IMHO. I use it a lot for streaming music to the living room for example.

+1 I download a lot of hi def movies, tv shows stream them to my lcd the ps3 up scales everything to 720p + blu ray player. Ofcourse its a gaming machine also.

Modern Warfare 2
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Sport games:
Depends what sports you like I guess..
Fighting Games:
UFC 2009 and the upcoming UFC 2010 or Street Fighter 4 if you're old school

nonsense , pc = superior graphics and gameplay (for fps' for sure) , console = ease of use and good to play split screen racing games etc , i suggested pc for fometrius coz he has an interest in music production n stuff too , i was torn between buying a console or a good gpu for my new computer , im very happy i went with this one http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_gtx_280_us.html , pure awesomeness no console can compete with

Superior graphics? Only if you have a fat wallet and spare time to handle your PC once in a while. The older you get the less time you want to spend on tweaking the performance of your PC. It rarely has a life span bigger than a couple years while a console like PS2 had a fairy long 5,6 years run and it's still being sold.
Also notice how PS3 has been out 3 years and only recently it started to live up to it's potential graphically (Uncharted 2, God Of War 3, Heavy Rain).
Another important thing is that the developers are slowly giving the back to the PC users due to the rampant piracy. Call Of Duty 6's multiplayer on PC was a castrated version and all you really left with on PC is RPGs and MMOs. I for one am not looking for World of Warcraft kind of games where the PC has a clear advantage.

Skate on xbox 360 is way more fluent then skate on ps3.. but ps3 takes less time loading.. Bayonetta.. same thing..
appearantly it does not bother me at all..
what IS annoying is when.. i buy a game for .. and then i find myself having to spend half-an-hour deleting save-data.. replays... profiles... shit.. because it couln't install due to a full disk. So you better get a newer one with larger diskspace.
(had too make some very harsh descisions  )
Very very lame..
Get a pc to download all the first/third person ultra graphics/super adventure shit (saves allota money) and to make music.
(don't go online on a pc ever though.... never ever  )
Ps3 titles are slowly getting there..
but reasons enough to get one already..
my list for Fometrius ,
Rolling - Katamari Forever !! (soopa-entertaining)
Skating - Skate (not skate II)
Driving - Fuel (outdoors, a bit boring.. but... nice sunsets.. )
- GTA iV (urban..+ nice ragdolls)
Mayhem - Bayonetta (shoot guns with your high heels, spawn demons with your hair.)
- Devil may cry (guns/swords/demons)
Shooting - Call of Duty: MW II (online kill fun)
- Resident Evil 5 (short.. but.. allot more to it than just the single player storyline)
and i heard there's a Guilty Gear for ps3 acomin' ! one of my favourite fighting games of all time..

Consoles are better for some genres and PC's are better for some others.
For example PC's are far superior when it comes to Strategy,RPG and Adventures than consoles but consoles have an advantage when you are dealing with Action Games and Sports.
You cant play Warcraft or Football Manager on any console but also you cant enjoy PES2010 or Grand Theft Auto on a PC.
So like the majority of people out there you must buy both a PC and a PS3 heh.
