Get a couple of hardware samplers/ADATs/hard disk recorder with a hard disk big enough to fit your stem/mix tracks of the live set arrangements. Get a mixer with enough inputs to fit the outputs of the samplers/ADATs/hard disk recorder/synths/FX.
Get a couple of synths/samplers/drum pads, whatever you want to play/sequence on stage, get a couple hardware FX, basic reverb and delay will do just fine and put them on your mixer's Aux sends and a hardware sequencer to sequence everything.
Have the party organizer pay for your overweight charges.
People used to play live sets without computers for ages, ages ago.

Haha, that's mad!
As a part of a big electronic festival here in Copenhagen they were doing some metro raves where a huge group of drunken party-goers would storm a metro with a big boom box and go crazy for a few stops, then rush off again, leaving the regular commuters speechless (or maybe the opposite?)... this is the cheapest way i guess. there's a whole series belonging to this video on youtube.
i saw ab didgeridoo play like this too many years ago. although this guy is way better with the didge!
this is actually quite good! and fun to watch r.e.s.p.e.c.t.
a classic.
if you got lots of money to spend then get these and you get the show for free
...and this is one of the cheaper versions to do it. check out little boots's vids too for more tenori-on (+ a foxy lady)
