Simple enough? Should be, but it ain't working for me. I'm trying to get a midi part I have in Cubase to play via the Reason sampler. As far as I know, once Reason is running alongside Cubase, there should be additional midi outputs on the inspector drop down to route my midi part to Reason. But they don't seem to be there. Maybe I'm tired. Maybe I'm a dur brain. I don't know, but any tips are much appreciated

afaik, reason is supposed to function as an instrument through cubase via rewire, I do not, however, think it goes the other way around. good morning

Good morning to you too No worries. I sussed it out. You can play midi parts in Cubase via Reason. The order of opening the programs makes a difference to the output menu on the inspector. I opened Reason before Cubase & the menu didn't appear. When I opened Reason after opening Cubase the menu appeared. Told you I was too tired |

Superglue,
With that kind of grammar you need to take English classes. |

PS "We do not always see things as they are. We see things as we are." Very true Jason. My response being a case in point I think I got the impression Superglue was posting a sarcastic response to my question, when in fact it may have been nothing more than the language barrier.... |

PPS But even if it was sarcastic, what does it matter anyway! I'll keep quiet now |

you people have strayed from the topic at hand, making you very silly indeed.
Mike, to the point, what kind of music are you producing? have you allways worked with reason, or have you started your way through cubase and found reason afterwards?
as for my signiture, it is an ancient chinese proverb, taken from the shao-lin temple, one which i find to project on many aspects of life.
Drop your panties sir william, I cannot wait till lunchtime! (Another silly, silly line)

Yes indeed Jason - back to the point I found Reason after Cubase As for the kind of music I'm producing, there are sound bites on my site (on the Indidginus microsite) if you're interested.... (I'll try making a link, but I haven't been successful at this in the past, so if it doesn't work, apologies!)....
