Check out a programm called Live from Ableton.
You can use it in your live set as sample trigger.
Check it out, and good luck

TES, concede to the fact that Spinning CD's or even Vinyls is slightly different than putting on a console, 3 Synths, a computer and a bunch of effects, and have erez play some very sweet and well know lead parts as duvdev takes care of the technicalities. live show cannot be confined to "Live Instruments" in trance. it's inapplicable, becuase it's trance. the only LIVE group that fits in to that description is Reflections and the not-so-operating Atmos fire..

If you want to have a live show on stage, you need to create the tracks from 0 so they can be played later in live.
that means building the beat on a sequencer or some groove box, making the leads, saving fx with a sampler - doing all that shit. Without mastering, that can be called a real live.
Today live is only making some instrument live - but the track will remain the same. It won't sound different from show to show - which is not really live.
cheers.

"LIVE" - i mean live mixing of audio sources
like muting and crossfading parts and loops .
I can build let's say 10 "16bar" loops ,
and when i mix it live i can make a track with it .
It's a lot more interesting than DJ'ing because here
i have more control for my tracks (every part can b
muted/unmuted + 128 other controllers )
I think it's all about midicontrol ,
midifaders buttons and knobs , so i was looking for
"Latronic Notron" because this device can take all
midicontrollers i need for live mixing , and i found
very difficult to find this kinda stuff here .
btw , it's true that making a track for "Live" it's
different than making a track in a regular way.
For sequencing i can use Cubase3 on my friend's
old mac laptop , for basic mixing i think that my
Yamaha 01v can be enuff (it's expanded to 24
analogue inputs) .
Together with the Cubase someone i know can play
some guitar parts live (without sequencing)
But the main problem is : if i want to switch to other
track - i need to stop my sampler when i loading
samples and programms for the second track .
Actually i saw Underworld's live setup , and they
using two Akai S6000's for that reason .
But even one S6000 cost more $ than all my studio
setup .
any sugestions ?

Did i say cubase is illegal ?
actually it's a good point , that's why it's always
necessary to keep some cd-player with loaded disk
on pause for a backup , if something fuck'z up with
the software sequencer , or maybe to use hardware
one like akai MPC2000 or some yamaha that can
get my midi files exported from cubase .
