jast look on the internet at very very old tunes i use to dance on partys when dj "guy sabag" and miko the israeli pioneer use to play a lot from this label "platipus records.
that promot and product many and many bigest artist like:union jack " ,art of trance, man with no mame",T"ECHNOSSOMY" and many other great artist's on 93,94,95,96 .
i jast go on the net and i found out this label is still working ..full time but more on the house naw.. any way for my big big respect to them i did opan this subject.. for the yang trance friend's here thet dont know who is and what.. go on :

well i don't know how it was in 1993 to be honest, but platipus sure as hell influenced my taste...
stuff like terra ferma, POB, Art of trance, Moogwai, union jack, quietman, ahhh... surely hold a special place. IMO their beginners guide are still great compilations... and i picked their second one sooo cheap on virgin records, i still consider it one of my best buys until this day... the last i bought from them was V/A - Widescreen and it was still an impressive release.

brings back so many good memories.
terra ferma and union jack too...
the platipus sound was unique at that time:
pure, melodic but not too cheesy, trancey and a bit psy too. beautiful tracks made for a beautiful morning
they had spirit!

one of my best trance labels ever with Eye Q records...

Am I the only one that heard a Platipus tribute in the last song on the new Ticon album?
These were the good old days... I still have the classics on vinyl Union Jack, Art of Trance, and Quietman.

Zion ,I played with UJ.
Not too many ppl came couse the orgenizer had good connections nevetheless, not good promotion.
but UJ is UJ and he had good music.

Platipus is what got me into trance in the first place, i have every single release from catalogue no. 1- no. 36 on vynil, the favorite part of my collection.
but its true, iseem to find people talking more and more about it, ticon already remixed union jacks cactus as "the analogue H", i hope son kite or freq take on red herring soon, that would rock!! i hope platipus gets a major revival, i would love to dance to only that music on a party....

"union jack - there will be no armageddon" is still one of my favorite all time albums. i've been waiting around for ages for someone to make a modern remix to one of their tunes. and thankfully ticon's finally gone ahead and done it. brilliantly.

Indeed big ups to platipus.
But to clear out some things: "they are not into house music", but rather something known and referred to as Euro Trance, occasionally getting out some dissent hard trance remixes too. Nothing like in the old days, but who makes music like that anymore.
I do play their records all the time, as a matter of fact some of their newer records are included on my dj chart.

Yeah platipus was defnitly responsible for many an ennovative offering in electronica!
Union jack stuff defintly has great memeroies attached for me, and certianly holds a warm place in my heart.
