Hello,
I am planning to come and live in Japan, music particularly trance and its children are a good part of my life, where are the best places to live? Ideally would prefer not to live in a massive city and somewhere in beautiful surrounding would be nice.
Any information/suggestions are welcome! |

i used to live in Itabashi-ku tokiwadai, and i really like that place. it's residencial area, lots of parks, so really peaceful and quiet even tho in tokyo.
it only takes 10mins to go ikebukuro, transfer from ikebukuro, u can go to shinjyuku for 5 mins, shibuya 10mins etc etc....
and since it's close to saitama, rent is cheaper too!
or,
if u can spend more money for rent, i recommend to live around station which has o-edo line, that line is really useful if u love to spend night life in tokyo alot. |

gifu. lovely place and awesome people, and there is usually at least one party every month. the outdoors are incredible! plus it is between osaka and tokyo so if you put in a little effort it is not far from either city.
tokyo is by far the most diverse and happening place trance-wise. and like caramel says, you can find places just on the outskirts of tokyo for cheap rent and some nature, so if you are not strongly against living in a big city, you will certainly meet the most people and be exposed to a wide range of cutting edge music.
good luck!

too bad you dont like big cities because Tokyo is far ahead of anywhere else in Japan as far as number and range of trance parties are concerned. Actually, Tokyo trancers are very spoilt for choice of what parties to go to every weekend.
but Japanese countryside is very beautiful... and not so isolated if you have a car and Japanese license
The music was like new black polished chrome
that came over the sky like liquid night.
