Yeah he played a dj set before for Planet Easton in April 2001 and played just Talamasca, and it was somthing else but i missed the Alchemt party - but expect more of the same and some desert:)

If only this were one week later....we are hopefully visiting London the following weekend for the Dragonfly Christmas bash on Friday the 22nd, and I would love to see Cedric again sometime.

Damn those near misses.....

ummm i am looking forward to it dude! And quite a few people I was talking to at enlightenment were also pretty keen on coming.... and without persuasion by me

there is no way on god's earth that i would miss a 3 hour dj set by talamasca.

okey, i got to the place around 23:00, and the guy from Prodigal Sun was playing a nice hipnotic and psychedelic trance (Although i think its wrong to play this kind of set at the begining of the party), around 1:00 the place got pack, most of the people that was there (i think) didnt had any clue to who's playing or this kind of music. but the crowd was lovely.

then Sean playied, and im sorry to say that (but i got to), his Mixing was one of the worst, but he gave some really nice tunes at the end of his set.

then came our beloved Andy and started to play less psychedelic stuff at the begining of his set (wich i didnt like so much), but then after like 20 min, he started to pump up the groove, and gave amazing set wich i really like.

then around 3:00 cedric was ready to play, and i gotta tell you that im not a big fan of his music, but he gave a 3 hours set of Madness, he was really really good, good mixing and very nice tunes (i think from his forthcoming album).

so....that was a great party to be out side of London, and i felt really good.

all in general it was a great Party !!!!!!

Great Night Andy! Congratulations on an excellent launch of a new party at a new venue! Talamasca and yourself both played excellent sets and the atmosphere was lovely Good to see all those faces from Planet Easton and Shroom in one place. The Bristol psytrance family grows and grows!

hehe i really enjoyed myself at this party....

People have been saying to me recently about the way that the crowd never really gets going at the rex, but since Id been there too many weeks I couldnt really remember any point of comparison. Well... nights like Planet Shroom do the job nicely! I mean the crowd was really going for it....

Lighting was excellent for this small venue also....
and a cool cartoon-like Planet Shroom logo...

I agree with asi about the music... good job by Andy:) I was a bit disappointed when talamasca came on because the bass lacked the presence I remebered. However I was being naive: there was still 3 hours of his set to go and he was luring us into a false sense of security! Indeed after 1/2 hour I was digging like mad to basslines of Himilayan magnitude. Talamasca is probably my favourite full-on (ever since the alchemy party at the rex, and Musica Divinorum came out) and he was damned good, with plenty of funky dancing too....

I was surprised to hear a lot of israeli full-on (loads of astrix, + some alien project for example) not just 3d vision material. But there was plenty of talamasca obviously (unreleased + classics e.g. Come On (hoorah!), Time Simulation, ...) and stuff off the Jet Lag comp...

Oh yeah and cute green girls dancing on the front of the stage most of the night... except at one point some irritating dudes who were sweating and gurning like maniacs displaced them.... only for a while though:)

I want the new album! apparently it is now 2/3 done:)

Thanks again Andy, cedric, and everyone else for a great night!

well guys, I thought I'd better check this forum out that you're all banging on about so I thought I'd sing a few words of praisefor Planet Shroom. It's nice to get a night which can tempt me away from the bright lights of London and every time I've been to Bristol I have a wicked time. This time was no exception. Top job all round.
