PLANET SHROOM !
SAT 12TH APRIL, THE DEPOT, BRISTOL
With the summer drawing near it’s time for the final Planet Shroom! before we all head outside to party! Following the success of our Talamasca and Astrix events we are proud to present DJ Dede (Spectrum Music, Israel). Having been established in the psy trance scene from the beginning, Dede has always been at the cutting edge, releasing 10 compilations through his first label M.D.M.A Records. Continuing in this vein, he’s the founder and head-honcho at Spectrum Music – “Spectrum Analyzer”, “Saafi Connection” and “Atomic Pulse” were the first releases, all going down a storm. Dede’s played all over the world, including last years’ Boom Festival (Portugal), and the highly respected Voov Festival (Germany).
Hailing from shockwick studios Bath it is a pleasure to present the debut live performance from Prodigal Sun! James and Rog have been turning heads with there dark twisted psy mayhem over the past few years with releases on Optica/Sphere and Red-Shift records, as well as having tracks licensed by TSUYOSHI SUZUKI (Matsuri Label Founder). Having released there initial album 1 years ago they have been chained to the studio re-working their tracks and the new and improved album is due for release in April! Do’s there bass lines look bigger in this new showcase – oh yes!
We are joined for this psychedelic jamboree by the Sci-Ting crew, who have been causing all sorts of mayhem at the Thekla alongside Upfront and Cyberdog, and who now bring their skills to the Depot!

andy, what happened to the day job!!! you seem to be djing left right and centre, hope to see you when i get back from the states, henry  oh yes, andy, talamasca playing live in new york in a couple of weeks but won't be going...went to see astral proj and parasense (didn't show up)....worst party ever, so learnt my lesson! |

Is this an outdoor party.....i'm gonna be in London on 12th and want to be at the most full-on party....i saw Dede in Bombay and am thinking about the Psyside party as an alternative...whats tkts like for this party. |

noo u must be joking NEW album of prodigal sun THIS april???
yaaaaaaaaaaa thats greeeeaaaat news. his album deffinitely stayed as one of my favourite ones from last year. killer acid sound.
oh and i forgot, good luck with the party and have fun there
i'll hopefully join the british comunity next year an oh yeah i feel very excited about that

Well as aparty this went really well, although there were a few issues when i got there at 9 - but we wont go into that, we lost quite a bit of dosh but that all sortable, the maddness will continue,hehe. But the party itself went really well, Colin's set went down really well as the opener, lots of people got well into that and we also got treated to Prince hehe nice one, Prodigla suns set was excellent - didn't feel as if it was the first time they'd done this - top notch, and dede - well as you would expect he had a serious bag of tunes, he really rocked it, - didn't really get a chance to speak to him cause Dede, John Junya and ronin all arrived as i was starting my set, and then they had to shoot straight of, but he played a rocking set - Atomic Pulse style - wicked! Although the window of my car got put through and sean's headphones went walkabouts - this sounds like doom and gloom but it was a great night really, INside us all as usual did a terific job under harsh working conditions (apologies again! ) and thanks to sci-ting downstairs and denz in the chillout and anyone else i've forgoten,
so all in a success, onwards and upwards (or outside for the summer)!
ps- this review is short cause i'm still having trouble focusing |
