Its with sad faces we bring you the news that we have had to cancel the last Planet Easton - circumstances beyond our control concerning the venue has forced us to pull the party - anyone who came to the last Planet Easton will understand what has happened with the sound limiter, there are other issues as well - but the bottom line is that it aint happening!
We looked at possibly another venue but due to the fact we operate as a fund-raising night at every party it just isn't viable,
anyway hope your all well

hi
just a quick note in repsonse to tigga's question 'why the last one?'.
Basically Planet Easton is a benefit night with everone involved doing it for a much reduced fee/ or not getting paid at all! We get the venue for free, because we raise money for the place. For those of you who have not been to Easton its quite a rundown area and considered the poor area if you want to look at it like that, and its very multi-cultural as well, what the Community Centre do's is it pays for kids to go camping for a week for a hoilday cause parents cant afford it and gets lawyers in for people who cant speak english for the social security - basically lots of real right on stuff! which is great - quite a trance attitude! But its becoming more and more difficult to put a party on there - sound limiter causing problem cause its wasy to low and now your only allowed 300 people max- we had 250 at a party once and it just looks empty! so basically we aren't doing it there anymore ! Both myself and Linzi(co-promoter) were going away as well so thats why it was the last - but i dont think i'm going anywhere now, so i'm hoping to get somthing else going - but venue's is an enormous problem in bristol at the moment - there r 2 maybe 3 and thats it - but hopefully somthing will come togethor soon!

Sorry to hear that. Am going to be in Bristol that weekend and was particularly looking forward to hearing OOOD.

A great pity it never happened, we were looking forward to it.
To clear up a little confusion, OOOD is still the three of us (me, Steve and Nigel) and will hopefully always be so. We don't get together as much as we used to as Steve and I recently moved to Bristol and Nigel still lives in Oxford; besides, Steve and I (and various other people around Britain) are concentrating more on the Unconscious Collective project.
