yes there were A LOT of people for that tiny tiny space, it was really hard to breathe in there if you could even find a small spot to dance. |

just sent this as a PM to a friend...figured that trancers need to know the deal about last night.
I really hope for the sake of the "scene" here that the direction the organizers took with this party is curtailed or comes to a dead end or something. Shame Shame.....
keep in mind opinion is subjective. Some people may have enjoyed themselves.....
last night was absolutely horrible IMHO and far from anything that resembled a psytrance party aside from the music. The music was pretty good actually but there were wayyy too many extemely F87cked up little kids - nontrancers, very young, just there to do copious amounts of who know what kind of substances. like 75% non trancers with very dirty vibes...it was quite a disgrace actually. Many immature and quite disrespectful teenagers. The organizers seemed to have promoted heavily to the "rave" scene (term used very differently here in the states)
Also, cops were there before we got there and arrested the organizer and some others, so that didnt help anything. We walked into a place, just after the pigs left, that seemed like everyone needed energy healing, lots of tension and scattered imbalances, it was so acute and heavy in the air you could cut it with a knife... The "vibe" if you can even call it that, was lacking to say the least...
Sorry to sound so negative, I am usually not one for that but this was nothing to regret having missed, you are actually better for it having stayed home....
I have some friends that got there after I left and said it cleared up and balanced out a bit by the late morning...
I gave this party a fair shot and stayed for a substantial amount of time, hoping that it was the pigs that created this nasty energy and that it would dissipate, but, I guess you can take the kid out of the rave but cant take the rave out of the kid.
I have said it before and will say it again. Parties manifest the intent and energy of first the organizers, and then the participants on many subtle and deep levels...To me the turnout of this party demonstrated a lack of love and respect for everything trance should be about, mainly by the organizers ansd secondarilly by the attendees. I am will to bet all of my wordly possessions that this was the first time the majority of the attendees ever heard psytrance.
I am pretty sure I will never attend another MDMA Metafarce party again unless they do things drastically different. I am not sure thats possible because their morals and motivations are pretty obviously and clearly substandard. Its shameful, because the music was actually pretty bangin but anything positive about last night, for me at least, ends there...
Promoting to shady disrespectful dusted out preteens because most trancers know better than to attend is like a slap in the face to the core scene. tsk tsk tsk vampires
Other NYC promoters who may be reading this, PLEASE keep your flyers far away from these parties. Or we shall suffer cross-pollination and dramatic genetic mutation actuation at its worst....

Yeah its kind of strange and makes you wonder. Apparently she was arrested for simply claiming responsibility as the organizer, after some of the other arrestees were found with smokables. So its sounds like the swine patrol excercised the power to arrest any promoter whence attendees are caught with drugs, as given to them by the infamous "RAVE Act"
How fitting and even deserved.
Desert loving in your eyes all the way
If I listen to your lies would you say
Im a man without conviction
Im a man who doesnt know
How to sell a contradiction
You come and go
You come and go
Karma karma karma karma karma chameleon
You come and go
You come and go
Loving would be easy if your colors were like my dream |

i thought Rave act was repealed some years ago.
never heard of anyone being arrested for it since maybe 2004.
edit - i guess the rave act passed under a different name.. but if anything like it was claimed, the party would've been shut down completely. so i would be curious to get a run-down from someone who isn't so obviously gloating at the promoters' misfortune.
  ..it's just another party.. |

I was there last night as well and Raffi's assessment is spot on.
The music was awesome but there were a lot of non psy people who didn't really care or contribute good vibes and respect that psy trance is about.
The simple courtesy of saying sorry when you bump into someone or step on someone's toes constantly was non existent.
Very weird energy...whether it was the promoter's fault or just unfortunate circumstances which added up the night overall, this is not one which will file under 'The Memorable Parties' category in my memory.
Luna, Alexis, Ben & Magda, you guys are awesome!
Raffi and Xiao..what can I say...you guys are true friends, thank you for everything last night! Your support was truly priceless! I wish you'll good karma forever!!
Peace!

yes, the energy was extreemely dirty, yes it was the hardest or worst party itself i have ever been to, the least i have ever enjoyed, (for the past times) but i still had a few amazing moments.which weer almost worth coming there. although much less then usual.. raffi is right.. i even started doubting -- which never ever happened at a trance party b4, thats how hard it was to enjoy it for the first couple of hours..
but i always had a question how to open psy trance experience to those who never heard of it?? isnt it to let them come in and actually hear it and find a joy a beauty in it or at least see other ppl enjoy it so much, feel the pure energy from those who enjoy it and share it with others ona dance floor.. how to let those kids to know there such beautifll thing in life exists? surely, it was waaaay too harsh last night.. but where the balance then?? just call less non-trancers in?? i am not trying to be too smart... i am just curious, this dillema often comes to me..i feel like to share this amazing experience with anyone who is ready, i'd love much more people on earth learn to love psytance, i beleive it can change them for the better, can open for them other dimentions of life, but if we will keep it closed just to ourselves others wont open it up for themselves. am i wrong??
i mean, i used to be a raver so to say in 1997... i came to psytrance party in usa once.. second time, third, i strated loving it gradually... now i am in love with it.. ppl who know me, know i am in love with it..
so if i wouldnt come being non-tancer to a party once like those kids.. would i ever learn about it?? would it ever become a prat of me as it is now??
i had no chance to had an enviroment in which i could learn abt psytrance from friends. i have never heard such music before i came to the party.. i have never met ppl from a psytrance scene.. and there are so many like i used to be..
yes i completely agree the organizers should not make another party like that, they should try think harder how to save the sacred vibe.. i felt like to run away when i came in for the first couple of hours..lol ... but i loved some moments anyway.. not that a good party should be that way..
surely it is obvious that it could of been much more authentic party.. peace

I have similar thoughts as Anya. what if some of those raver kids transform into transer kids? we need more people on our front and our weapon is our positive energy |

Anya, I think you have a point, but if people were meant for trance, they can find it on their own, just like I did. I've been meaning to try a Metaforce party for a while now, I guess it's good I didn't pick last night as my first one!

No one is mataforcing anyone to go to any parties, so if someone did not like it then just dont show up, thats all. I was not impressed with the party( although I loved the butterflies) and will probably not go to future ones, but I think its always a good thing when someone is throwing parties, no matter what kind of them, and it takes effort. I wish good luck with future events. |
