OK, here's a bit more about it:
Pitch Black- Electronomicon (Kog, 2000)

A second album from these Kiwi guys, much more mature with a real album feel to it. You're facing a great piece of electronic music here. If I were into genres I would probably call it progressive psychedelic dub, but I'm not, so I won't. It is psychedelic and it is dubby and it sure progresses. Massive sounds, great atmosphere, very hypnotic, with a developing story in each track, including some surprises (turn of the lights and turn up the volume before you put Data Diviner on). Can be both exciting and relaxing. Way to go New Zealand!!! My album of the last few months in the chill department.
Bottom Line: Do yourself a favor and get this (it's kind of hard to do in most shops, so here's where I got it (good service): http://netcd.co.nz/). Favorites: The whole thing, especially 4&5. |
