PITCH BLACK (KOG Transmissions, New Zealand)

Pitch Black is Michael Hodgson and Paddy Free – two long time, sound manipulation artists from New Zealand who are playing SF during their world tour in support of their third full-length release Ape to Angel. Pitch Black is known for creating musical journeys from organic ambient beginnings and layered soundscapes to skanking keyboards, cutting acid riffs and thumping rhythmic grooves, with dub holding it all together. Pitch Black are multimedia addicts. Every gig they play is live, with fully integrated visuals running of Mideo - a program they developed to trigger video in real time. Their production skills have lead to collaborations with several international artists and recently a job scoring portions of the stunning kiwi film The Whale Rider.

oh...and enjoy this show.....Pitch Black live in the USA for the first time...!!!! a rare and lucky treat!
not to mention Dubmission records has been spliffing it out proper since the begining..., Saturnia really knows her music ... add half of Waterjuice and can't possibly go wrong.... ENJOY!
