the 1000's are really good enough... Even the 200's are already good enough... The more expensive models have a lot of bells and whistles, but chances are that at the party you won't have those features... It's always nice to have those features ofcourse, but to train yourself to play at parties cdj-200's are already enough. |

thank you. i was just asking because i dont want to spend more money later on if i buy the 200's, cause eventualy ill probably end up selling them you know to get the 1000's . thats why i was asking if i should just get the 800's since theyre a little cheaper is there a big diffrence in performance ? its just hard for me to decide it is alot of money so like i said i just want to buy the best ones so i can always have them, instead of dealing with selling them to get better ones, it would end up costing alot more? SO>>> 800's or 1000's ? |

Well the 800 have a .05 pitch increment and the 1000 have a .02 pitch increment. That would be the main consierations. The 1000 also has a waveform display which can be handy to see if theres breaks coming up. 1000 also has more cue points and some say a more responsive jog wheel.
Personally I dont think the differences are worth the price difference and I would go with the 800 if you can hndle the .05 pitch increment.
Worth noting though that the 200's are standard in my experience and also have the 1000's .02 pitch increment, so are just as good for getting tight mixes as the 1000's at a third of the cost.

well, people on the floor won`t see the difference if you are using a 200 or a 1000. But other DJs will die of envy if you have a 1000 lol. And if you use the whistles and jets a lot of people will think that you can`t match the beats. IMO, the basic is the best.
Peace and Love.
