I looked forward to the 200's, but found the pitch slider wouldn't "stay put".

It has the extra decimal place in the pitch slider, which is good for precision beatmatching, but it kept "floating" between settings. I never noticed this problem with the 3000's, so, I don't know if they are using a cheaper mechanism or what.

i have used the 200's quite a bit and can tell you that the differences between them and the 100's are limited but quite important.
for starters there is a bpm counter built in and it is very accurate...very useful
the loop function adds another dynamic to mixing but it is quite basic.
mp3 playback is great and you can search through different folders of music on one disc.
cue and play buttons etc are much more touch sensitive than the 100's.
and the blue lights make it look really sexy!

Well the MP3 playback was what got me interested in the CDJ200s...

Unfortunately, it doesn't support many features with VBR (variable bitrate) MP3s - which a lot of my MP3s are.

Sure, you can convert your VBRs to CBR (constant bitrate) MP3s, but I thought it would be better to get a unit that could handle them better.

I bought a Denon-S1000, which _can_ handle VBR files, but compared the CDJ-200, it was just clunky and horrible to use.

The scratching on the S1000 was pretty terrible as well. I consider myself an OK scratcher with vinyl, but I couldn't get the hang of the Denon.

I did like the CDJ-200, and would probably consider buying one again if the price was right. I have not owned a CDJ-100, so I can't say for sure whether it would be worth the investment if you already own a pair of these.

Edit: And I've since sold them both. Mixing wasn't really my cup of tea after all - I prefer producing and dancing
