I'm thinking of buying a pair DJ decks, but I don't want to spend that much of $$$.
Then is this a good pair to start with? |

cjd-100 is a good one for starters, is has everything u need.
cdj-200 is also great.. with loops and etc..
worry about a good mixer... cdj-100 does the job.
get a pioneer mixer... the others dont have as much quality and precision as pioneers. |

Well, I have decided to get a set of cheap CDJ-100's.
Found one already, brand new for 250 Euros.
Now I've only got to find myself a second one:-)
But what should I look at regarding mixers?
There are real cheap and real expensive ones, but what is the main difference between them?
What should do the job for me and is not too expensive? |

same same!
100s have been my favourite ever since i started playing on cds. tried all the others and dont like the feel. the worst in my opinion are the 800s.

the good thing is with the 200s they can pitch more exactly.. and they are more solid with more metal parts..
if you can afford go for the 200s

One question regarding the CDJ-100s.
If you speed up a track, does the pitch automatically go up as well, or will the pitch of the track stay the same? |

if set the player to master tempo than only the speed changes and not the picht but with higher pitches you lose quality in the sound

The extra pitch resolution is very useful, and pretty much the only reason to buy the 200s... they are not built as well as the 100s, but if you try to mix anything other than 145 BPM you will be stuck "riding the pitch" (i.e. constantly re-adjusting) instead of getting creative. For better, smoother mixes, use the CDJ-200. If you need a workhorse, a unit to bring to dusty outdoor parties, and all you play is full-on, maybe the 100 is for you.

How do all other brands like Denon, Numark, Gemini and Stanton within the same price range of the CDJ-100S/200S compare in terms of quality and versatility? |
