Hi psytones, nice to hear from you.
I have a theory that says that "the more pinned topics a section has, the less people read any pinned topic". But it is just a theory.
I'm not a big fan of pinning topics on the top of the sections, but since this is still a free country (which means I do what I want ), I'll pin this topic, so that "we, the people" can discuss this suggestion, the relevance of these topics suggested to be pinned, disclaimers (like I'm hold no responsibility to the content of any of these pinned topics, so I'm not responsible if you stop eating red meat because of them) and any other kind of comment or spam.
My first suggestion is that we change this topic name to "Important topics you must read" and keep it pinned. This way it will be cleaner and anyone can suggest the topics they think to be important.
What do you say?

Thats excacly what I mean, a clean and nice thread with information, links and discussions about important subjects.

The problem with editorials dubbed "documentary" is that they're usually full of shit - sometimes twist facts, ignore facts or flat-out lie. Let's be philosophical for a minute:
The moment we pin up a few topics like that, we would also have to pin the links for religious organizations (because to many people, these are important truths), political manifestos (after all, Greenpeace is a political organization at least as worthy as 9/11 conspiracy movies), economic preaching (anti-globalisation, communism, etc), and if this is the case, why not commercials?
There is a problem in setting priorities to "something important" because that is a purely subjective term. And "who the f$#@ are you to tell me what's important?" will be a thought that will cause more damage to these causes than anything else in a forum about a fringe-culture like psytrance.
As to making an "important must read" thread, it would have the same results if pinned. Either you open the door for ideological preferences, or you don't, and in either case, it will be popular with some and not with others... which leads to the final point here: this will cause a dwindling of creative and opinionated diversity, because while the unorganized chaos brings many irrelevancies to the top of the list, it gives everyone an equal voice, and what people see as important will make it's way to the top again and again.

Erm, because you should have thought about the board guidelines before posting? No politics - it's phrased very simply. You break them and then complain when the moderator says it's against them? Sorry, no sympathy from me on this point.

The movie is not exactly about politics, it is much broader than that, and just to make it clear I disagree with many aspects of the movie, and I suggest everyone to watch it with a big "WARNING: statements not backed up with facts or reliable documentation. Also keep in mind that facts are presented in a way that leads the unaware to believe in the argumentation line presented". But of course this warning should also be present in all commercials, preachings and maybe the rest of everything we heard everyday.
I suggest that the topic should unlocked, and any posts related to politics on that topic should be deleted.
Politics is not allowed on the guidelines because it usually leads to fights, which clearly is not the case here. This is just a compilation of "conspiracy theory-like material", which in my opinion is not against the guidelines. We should have as much freedom as possible here, and this freedom only ends where deliberated violence or disrespect starts.
