Are there any other remixes of Pink Floyd songs besides the one by Haldolium... and if there are, who and what?

well, as a rock band, they have set some musical bounderies which ppl till this day strive to achive and to break in areas of sound, composing, writing, arrangement, production etc. they were of the first bands to introduce psychedelic sounds to the music scene. take the wall for instance - one of the world's greatest masterpieces made, which almost EVERY artist, when being asked about his influences (no matter which musical genere he comes from), notes pink floyd's the wall and a few others from the world of 70's rock. ppl today don't take the time to listen to bands like the floyd and i find it sad. i think everyone with an interest to get somewhere in this world music wise should set himself a goal - to hear "the wall" through, know it by heart and keeping it as an icon for him to follow musically. that's one of the things I do when i play my guitar or create tracks on the computer. i try to integrate.

.... as well as the grateful dead.. and let's not forget their influence on the movement of LSD. If it hadn't been for Ken Kesey (and the Dead) we still might not know about the recreational use of LSD... and there may not have been a Pink Floyd. or even trance as we know it.

I agree with you Jason and Floyd being one of the bands which introduced psychedelic music. Their influence on artists will stand the test of time...

Just listen for the magic sounds of their "Wish you were here album", where, btw, Welcome to the Machine track is. I never listened to that band as i'm listening it now...and i guess they really made an outstanding achivements in music creation and composing. I like this band...

Oforia - Welcome to the Machine is a pretty old track now (over a year old, I think), but it never will be released - it wasn't an authorized remix.

Get it from a friend on MD, like everyone else did :)

And I prefer the first 2 pink floyd albums to most of the others (I still have a soft spot for dark side), definately some very psychedelic concepts there.

As for the greatful dead - well, we should also thank zepplin and a few others as well, but Pink Floyd broke more new grounds than any other band in the history of mankind, and they did it RIGHT.

I like some old bands from the 60s&70s like for example the Doors.. but Pink Floyd.. i just don't get it.. and I seriously think that it's not psychedelic at all.. don't hate me..it's just my opinion

NOT psychedelic????
Listen to Waters lyrics and tell me this is not psychedelic!!
It´s one of the most intense psychedelisms (ohhh...a new word:-))I´ve ever heard, seen and felt!!
The music is extremely beautifull, extremely scary and mystical at the same time!!
I MISS THEM!!!
Come on Dave!! One last album!! One last tour!!
You still have it!!
"Atom Heart Mother", "Dark Side of the Moon", "The Wall", "Animals"...best thing I´ve ever heard!!!
We all should get a little comfortably numb!! hehe...

pathetic...:-)

u`r entitled to have your own opinion.
i personally think pink floyd is the greatest band. and somehow they`re the only band i keep listening too and never get tired of, unlike most music i listen too which bores me after a while.
pink floyd just had this way of putting things in the right proportion. it`s like every album has it`s own exact recepie between sound lyrics production and presentation. i personally think that psychadelic trance would not b what it is without pink floyd`s influence on psychadelic music and music in general.

common guys enough with this pink floyed bla bla.. we all know what they did,.. and if we are talking psych here than there are far far better exmpled than the wall wish you were here or all the other known albums.. they are fucked up-yes, they have great sound -yes, the were new vibe yes.. but i hate it when they pop up all the time in connection to trance. i thik that like people of goa and psych some times dont get the minimal style i didnt get the pink floyed style after hendrix, zeppelin, morrison, jenis joplin, etc..
you know the vibe.. in rock i say keep making the guitar weep like jimi. azvu otchem shtuyot

The only band I think ever played Pink Floyd's game on the same level is Ozric Tentacles, are there any other bands that are that good in that style?
