i heard from my friend that he saw a dvd
of pink floyd playing trance music in a forest
from the 70's era...
and he said it was a killer show..
the dvd owner now does'nt seem to find it
of course...these things act always by the
murphy law..
anyway to me it make sense beacause in p.f. albums you can clearly hear sounds that relate to our beloved genere of music.
i'm looking for that dvd, if someone knows
something i will be happy to know. |

Try searching for it on Kazaa or other file sharing programs... (I cant use any..)
Its the vibe that matters. |

Psychedelic, perhaps?
There's a video called Live in Pompei (I think that's the name). |

I would get hold of "A Space Ritual" by Hawkwind (1972) - the riffs are all played on guitars - but all the tracks go on for fifteen minutes with loads of synths and effects and breakdowns with sci-fi voiceovers etc |

And while you're at it check out Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream. It's isn't trance as we know it today but the ideas and structure is there.
Pink Floyd- One of These Days is definetly a trance track. Same with Welcome to the Machine
  Both teams played hard |

Just watched it again after, so many years, this movie is over 30 years old...

I saw that video--really psychedelic. I don't know if I would call it trance, but it definitely has "trancish" qualities. Real nice groove you can get lost in while your mind floats away
Plus David Gilmour fuckin rocks on guitar |

the pompei act is not even closed to trance music.. it dosent even reminds trance.. maybe the feelings that come up from the music experience r trance(the mentaly feelings) but its not even close to trance genere.. its a pure progressive rock.
but if theres a movie that featurs P.F doing trance music is real then we got to find it!!
if anyone find it pls pm me
