When you're messing with hardware, make sure the things you pull out are not in the way of any of your body parts.

I scratched myself today quite badly with a Delta 66 card - I was pulling it to change it's PCI slot (was making problems). My other hand was leaning on the computer chasis, and the back side of the card (where the spiky things are) cut through my fingers.

He he Mike. I stopped noticing it, got cut so much and frequently and electrocuted so frequently that it doesn't bother me any much. I look at my fingers right now and see atleast 5 cuts from the last 2 weeks and only one i clearly remember it's origin. "Ma she lo horeg oti, mechashel oti".

I wonder what you hair looks like

See there are these things called racks and studio frames. It seems like burning money at first, but studio ergonomics help you programm stuff a few extra hours before getting tired, or having near death experiences!

Peace out.

I reached the conclusion that i am immortal after my near death electrocution experiences, i guess that my body resistance is high enough to defend me from high current
My most frightening electrocution experience was on crane at 10meters height. I could die twice, but i survived
My hair was quite damaged due to sun exposure and electrocution so it's kinda messy and it looks funny now when it's long.

Kids, don't try this at home! Always use grounding device before working with computers!           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

I just plug it out from the power, works usually.

Still, there are capacitors on the board that can release their electrical capacity if you touch them, even if the PC is off.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

Pavel is right. besides, allways use caution when dealing with hardware. the results can be pretty nasty...           "We Do Not Allways See Things As They Are. We See Things As We Are" -Ancient Chinese Proverb

Yes, your hair will look really nasty and your eyes might glow in the dark.

Mike's hair is already nasty. seriously now.. even an unplugged computer has some residual charge in it. be careful, if you still want to retain feeling in your fingers...           "We Do Not Allways See Things As They Are. We See Things As We Are" -Ancient Chinese Proverb
