Dont want to come across as too jaded, as i still love trance and going to parties, but this has to be one of the worst parties i have ever been to. Goa Gil may be a legend, but how many of the tracks in his set does he actually listen to properly before he plays them out? About 80% of the tracks he played were very amaterish psy, poor production, poor song writing.
Also witnessing a huge number of 16 to 19 year old kids, completely off their heads on amphetamines is not a nice sight.
This one came across more as a parody on a proper trance party.

I'm sorry that you had a bad trip there by your personal reasons, but if you look through all russian psy web, you will find 80% impressed psy ppl.
About amphetamines... unfortunately, such kind of people on a party meets everywhere (not only in Russia). Be positive!

Cannot argee with Madpup! It seems like he didn't even come to the party at all. The music(dat-coolection) was fantastic... eh... no, not fantastic, but outstanding!!! MAGNIFICIEN I should say... Of course, there were lots of "robots" early in the mornig, but the atmosphere was really inexplicable sunny!!!

Dear american friend. I'll disappoint you, but the first sign of good tends of psy-t development appeared in my country in early 90-s. There were not so many ppl who called on psyparties. It's out of question... but nowdays ppl attend parties not to feel positive fluids, but to have a nice full-on trip during the night. It seems to be suxxx, don't you think so?
By the way. I haven't heard anything 'bout american psy-dj's who wanna come 2 Russia & show smth different... do you know anything 'bout it? Pre-Thanx for your answer... |

Here lies the problem. There is only one type of music being played at Moscow parties, dark nighttime stuff, and most people do not come for the music anymore, just to have drugs and have a good time dancing. Nothing wrong with it in itself, but then if djs play anything other that ultra hard night psy, then the crowd stops dancing. Its a pity, when there is so much great trance out there, Moscow parties are exposed to only a small part of it. |

U won't have any probs with police if u don't use ... eh... you know what I mean... =))) So in this case u'd better go 2 some private party, ingoring parties with a huge crowd of amf-soldiers & robots all around... =)))
so, visit Russia & see it yourself =))) You'll enjoy it... It's out of the question... =))) |
