What Turns You on?
A photon is a light wave of energy. The Sun’s light and energy, that we live by and feel, is made of photons. With Photon Generator you are experiencing stored sunshine.
Photon Generator is developing an increasing array of electricity generating capability with Solar Technology (S.T.) that is charged with Sunlight. Our S.T. Power and Sounds will have no dependency on the National Grid and the radioactive waste and global warming that it compounds.
The two focuses of Photon Generator are:
1. To provide outdoor and indoor events with a desirable power source, steering away from electricity generated by fossil fuel burning or radioactive nuclear reaction.
2. To demonstrate to the widest community, particularly children in education, that sustainable energy sources are readily available today.
This is the talk. The action too, can be experienced now. So far we have successfully created a high quality Solar Technology powered Mackie Active PA that has played beautifully at club nights like Liquid Connective and Altered States and has residency at Natural Order. Highlights of last year's season for Photon Generator included supporting installations at various events like The Kingston Green Fair, Big Green and Northern Green Gatherings, Liquid Connective, ID Spiral, Buddhafield and Glastonbury festival amongst others. All focused on delivering clean power for sound, cinema or public services and were a great success.
Our S.T. co-creating community is now expanding. The goal for this summer is to create a Solar Powered Chill Out Stage for progressive outdoor and indoor events. Photon Generator’s capability and development is directly related to the support of the visionary community, hopefully including you. Sunshine, generally speaking, costs nothing, however sunshine storing technology requires rather more investment. In being seen to be green, actively supporting artists and providers are becoming attractive innovators, the ones to watch.
After all, it seems backward now to be creating 3rd millennium sounds from a combustion generator that pumps industrial revolution style fumes and smells at the rest of the world. Is that to be the foundation of our progressive scene? Active choice is the deciding factor between continuing with 19th century systems or creating 21st century events to be proud of! Our initiatives are aimed at giving new purpose to the parties, foundation to the fun.
In one hundred years time can you imagine our power not coming from sustainable sources? Who could say they were a driver and participant of that new beginning, which bought an end to radioactive waste production, and held back the rising tides for so many generations to come? Only the forward thinkers, one by one, can tip the (re)balance -or hold it back. By partnering with Photon Generator you are already joining this journey.
