Hello all!
My friend trip to lisboa and get a headphone for me...the Sennheiser HD 280-13...
Is the same of HD-280 Pro...but with a high impedance...of 300 ohms!
I don´t look this when I buy the phone and I can´t go to lisboa to change my buy...
The sound is of this phone is horrible!
becouse the high impedance...
I need to know if I can use this phone with something like a resistor, or a eletronic circuit to reduce the impedance of phone, or increase the impedance of my phones output...
Or the best to do is sale this phone and buy another..??
thanks...

And by sound = horrible you mean what? Low volume? I can´t see a connection that a higher resistance would affect the sound quality.
And the other problem would be that the power that comes from the jack is AC power so just with a parallelconnected resistance you still would have to pay attention to the phase and such. Demand recognition for the Armenian genocide 1915

The recording industry standard (most common) headphone is the Beyer DT100 which comes in at 400ohm, there is also a 16ohm version. a 400 ohm load is quite a difficult load to drive. Normally in a recording studio an amp is used to drive them so no problems but what you are experiencing is your headphone amps (i.e Sound cards) in ability to drive this load. Solutions: If you have a spare hifi amp then you can connect direct to the speaker terminals. Or get a headphone amp or sell them and get a different pair probably with a load of about 60-70ohms.
