Phat and sharp edged leads???

I wonder how can i make some phat leads like Space tribe or those sharped edged CPU,Absolum leads, i know those guys use virys synth, but i dont owe one i'm on vsti's for the moment, discovery,vanguard,v-station,albino 2,z3ta?,i guess those should do the work but i still dont find how to set them. |

Vanguard is good for sharp leads. Just about every preset there - just play a bit with the filters.

Also try using the Pentagon. I got a pretty absolum sounding lead stab out of that one...

phat leads for me is a smart use of low pass filter with dist. and reverbs (eq ofcourse...).
sorry for speaking genraly but i myself expriement a bit on those... i found the sound that i like now and i'm on the right way so i wish you like.

use harmonical multinotch-eqing and be wise with reverbrooms and compression,its all in this forum allready... just search a little bit.
also realy short dealy (ghostdealy) is able to fatten up it. |

sorry.
harmonic Eq: boost frequences which has multiple frequences. this means if you boosted 100 allready boost 1K also. If you got 400 Hz multiplie with 2 and you have 800 Hz (primitive example, theirs a list in this forum which note has which freqs). The Effect is that the frequences dont phase much with each other and the whole sound has a clear note. sounds magic imo. |

I also use distortation for the sharp edge on the z3ta+ synth, or use its build in lofi effects.
