There is almost no way the music will reach a mono-system. These days all clubs and parties use Stereo. and personal use is hi-fi or whatever, but stereo.
I was thinking if your song has bad phasing noticeable in mono but not at all with your head in between the left&right speakers.
If you move back far enough or put the speakers next to each other and step back a bit,you will you perceive that phasing as mono.
This might present a problem with big outdoor parties. or where speakers r close together.
How important do you guys consider this when mixing down?
and,
How do you check for phasing other then just listening if sound disappears in mono?
