All is well and sound ok too me.In my new track - which is not psytrance,my own core - I see all ok to me like rms, sounds nice, levels ,spectrum etc
so far my best self made beat, the rest was only the music itself but now it becomes even more quality inside the frequencies -with all other I'm quite satisfied for long, the only issue which confuses me is the phase of the wav...
In the tool section of wavelab you have also this phase - correlation meter, and it confuses me.....makes me not smiling totaly.
Somehow I feel this is a point which has to be corrected - the phase looks healthy ,not too crazy ,not too extreme and since most of my elements in my music are stereo it is ok how the wave of the phase flows, but under the wave there are two red lines and one green which is moving ,it is in this spectrum between -1 ,0 and +1 ,my red line are only from 0 to +1(for those who knows)- and the green line is moving only from 0 towards +1 - it never changes the direction.
I'm not sure what it really is and if it is correct but this makes my thaught busy and it is already late.I become a more bigger fan of wavelab which a great source and has so many more depth which I love to solve out and to understand and so many more questions are open and will arise - yeah. And with each new I smile in my inner more.
I doubt that much help will come from my expirience with isratrance producers, but well I decided to ask maybe one last time again .
Usefull help is welcome

what the correlation meter shows you, in simple words, is mono compatibility.
if your track is in the green then it means that your track is mono compatible. if its in the red its not mono compatible.
if its sometimes in the green and sometimes in the red then you need to listen to your track in mono and check if all the instruments are in balance and nothing disappears.
if the correlation meter moving between 0 and +1 then it mean the phase of your track is mono compatible and generally its good.
just remember that to be sure you have to listen to the track in mono.
if you dont really care that your track is mono compatible then dont look at the correlation meter at all.
if you post a sample of your track then i could be more helpful. |

it is not finished only the beat so far is in process.I'm more a lyricist but love to produce for some time now.
This mix is clearer than my other beatsbut now I think the drums are should be tiny bit louder in the mix.
Sometimes I use bass ,somtimes wobble bass but I think I leave this one without. But it is still a draft of course.
I often work with other producers but love to have my own ideas, looking for learning in good qualy.
And one orchestral sample the first psycho one is not in good timing at the end(violins).
Have to correct it in cubase sx since don'T know where the arrow option is in sample editor of c4.
I use often mono too ,and I did performed a lot on systems only with mono so it is not unimportant really ,but I more and more love the stereo.
The first time I made all drums in stereo here.
Sometimes I synthesize sth here is a draft only with sample work. Not from any soundbanks or so.
Tell me how to make it sound better if you want.
Thanks for your reply,I learned more from it.
It is no trance and it is not really standard hip hop,and it never was.Feel free to cirtisize all you can.I'd be glad to learn always.

na, it's okay, the only thing that the first
violins sound a little weak compared with
those who come after... but you can leave
him so : P |

these are the same ...I mean depends on what beat. I cannot leave them must be synced in optimal flow my lyrics are too hard or complicated or need time, don't want to waste them over it later, have to wait till I find in cubase 4 the arrow option for correction.Or I have to visit cubase sx or nuendo only to warp it properly.
Thanks for opinion |

Indeed, when having my kick and bass being set up precisely on mono, correlation meter shows +1 and nothing less than that, which represents a perfect mono compatibility.
Question, how far away from +1 can i get to be able to say that it will not sound good on radio..
In other words, does being in the middle of 0 and +1 constitute an "ok" mono and 0 means not good? |

A fraction either way. brainworx software is the best I know of for dealing with this area. All is needed is
0-120,180 0r even 250hz in mono tweak till you get a balance ,,,, BXcontrol all the way! much more versitile than Waves S1 .

after listening to the samples i think the stereo image is ok, you could even make it wider. |

Thank you for the advice with a wider stereo image Ohz.
yeah I'm pretty usatisfied with it,it was only the first insomnia effect.I think a bit more bass also in the violins could be better. And of course a bit variation in drums etc.more samples sounds and stuff.
