Like Reshef said indeed quite a unique crossover between Techno and prog trance...

Not alot of artists can be credited for creating a style, but it seems like this stranger has done just that....
Yulik started this trend with his remix to Atmos on "changed" and has now perfected it to the max !

Well, I havent listened to this album yet, but a crossover between trance and techno isn't that revolutionary, rememberall that neo-trance going on a couple of years ago (and still going on, actualy)?

But, whatever, I am really looking forward to this album, I'm sure it will be awesome. The single was already great, even though i prefer the Fiord mix (how come doesnt Fiord always sound this good, btw?)           Check out my album: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/gay-satanic-hippie-tiefenrausch

nicely put, I agree...I've been playing the samples on his myspace for weeks now and I'm so happy that something truly fresh and innovative such as this has hit the scene...this is one style I won't mind seeing copied around           DJ Dovla | Interchill Records, Flow Records

Im thinking Paul Nazca, lots of stuff on Border Community (The Sky is Pink, Soopertrack etc...), some Gregor Tresher tracks like "Neon", earlier Einmusik, Jesse Somfay`s harder tracks like "Faberge" etc...thats what comes to mind right now, but there are many.

Those are crossovers of trance and techno. But, like I said, I havent listened to the album yet, maybe it sounds different then the ones I mentioned? Im sure there are many ways to "interbreed" trance and techno.

im sorry aje but u have failed miserably in this debate

this is isratrance and i did write PROG TRANCE. most of the names u mentioned are based in the techno scene. and non of them have anything to do with progressive trance.
so no soup for u

back on topic,FREE CLOUD might just be the best album of the year!

Even though this piece of information might be utterly shocking to you, there is a world outside the trance scene...

...and in this other world there are trolls and monsters, and even though some of these trolls and monsters look scary and entirely different then you and your friends do, deep inside, they are the same. And because they are the same inside, they make music that is not that different then the music you listen to, just that you wouldn`t know because you are afraid of them because they have hairy ballsacks where you have ears and and a penis where you have a nose...           Check out my album: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/gay-satanic-hippie-tiefenrausch

words are like bullets.

they go right through me

your sarcasm may be sharp my friend, but nevertheless,it is quite pointless, and i still stand by my statement -
in the small forest of prog trance, this is the first true techno crossover.

well I think I will disagree with you on that one...I sorta think that projects like the delta, midi miliz, x-dream, spirallianz, fuzzion, sensient, igneus sauria, MOS (the old one) and in general releases on labels such as boshke beats, horns and hoofs and candyflip also had similar crossovers of trance and techno...although I still think this album has gone in a very different direction and presents something much more innovating, for one thing all of those older projects had been based around the 140bpm range...in any case I believe saying that there never was a crossover between techno and trance is an overstatement           DJ Dovla | Interchill Records, Flow Records

perhaps i should have said MINIMAL TECHNO...
Delta, boshke and the likes were in the Tech-trance realm mate, going towards the industrial side...

while perfect stranger is going towards the minimal sound of today, from the white noises and clicks to the editing of the tracks, clearly a different kind of techno !

but oh well, just for the sake of it,let's agree to disagree shall we ?

hehe, yeah well maybe you should have said minimal techno, I agree that all of the artists I mentioned and the labels went in the industrial/tech side...so yeah when you put it that way for sure it's a true crossover of todays minimalistic sound with trance...but we're splitting hairs here           DJ Dovla | Interchill Records, Flow Records

this album is very different from the stuff mentioned here, specially the boshke and gregor stuff. what i love about this is the way the tracks flow with a lovely intelligent minimal techon feel - really effortless and works everywhere!

like i said before, a landmark release - more please !

This is surely one of the most important releases of the last months. Proper trance, no other definition for it. Forget minimal, forget techno and crossovers, this is simply trance, of the highest quality. Been playing it for a while.
Congratulations Yuli!
