Percussions problem!!!!!!!

I have made some killer percussion loops with stylus but they never seem to fit i have spent hours eq´ing wothout any good result also i added some compression, dist and reverb but they seem or too low under the other instruments ot above even with single bass and kick., please some advice. |

your problam i think is your eq try to cut all under 300 hz and rause bit al freq's higher then 16Khz
this should make them not disturbing (very roughly)

if you are using normal stylux ( not stylux rmx) i also used to have same problem when the loop bmp was not the same of the track i was doing. it kind of changes the pitch of the drum loops in a dodgy way.
and yes eq is also the key. stylux loops are rich in middles and are very accoustic so you really have to be accurate when equalasing it.

My trick is: use a highpass filter, as limbic said. I would boost everything from 5000Hz upwards, but that probably depends on the tune. Then you can compress your stuff again, maybe that will help too. |

well MindFilter, as Cybernetika said it is very depends on the level of your tune And what you want to achieve.
