I have a serious problem with percussions, i made some loops and no matter what i add, eq,reverb, compression or what i remove they never seem to fit, tehy sound too low or too high, there must be something missing, cannot sound like in the songs i´ve heard precussions. Some advice is more than welcome.

maybe it would help to cut the releases of the samples, so that you have shorter hits.
next thing i would recommend is to fool around with pitching and non linear-reverbs (maybe gated)

Anything goes with percussions.. Personally I dont use reverb, but sometimes i use a flanger with a high ratio and shifting, so that it "disguises" a bit the harshness of the high freqs.

Try all sorts of stuff... For example: If its sounding too simple try maybe adding a little delay to one of the sounds... You know.. Experiment

That seems you're in the right way, just dont forget to make shure that each drum sound is correctly tuned with the track. try a detune or some pitch correction vst something can help..
Anyway, everything comes naturaly im shure soon you'll be more satisfied with your stuff

Hi...

Get a good set of Samples and a decent quality Plug-in to play them, use a Gate and proper EQ, if you use Compression beware of the dynamics ( too little they won´t pump too much and it will kill them ), use Reverb as a send ( and use as much as you like).
Same as Delay, Flanger & whatever are used in a personal taste.

Hope it helped...

Cheers
