try hiphop beat records. They always sound great. You don't buy a license though, so you can't use the samples legally (but they will be hard pressed to find you out). That makes for cheaper records too ofcourse, real sample-cds are very expensive just because you buy a license... |

one last thing... Actually, there are soooo many drums and drumloops out there... I have rummaged through old and new music and i ended up with more then 1Gb of drums and drumloops... Never needed to download some stupid sample cd for that... As u can see, i'm quite fanatically anti-sample-cd... Just breeds lazyness imho... Only people who make music (or muzak) for movies, games, stores, subways and the like should use sample cd's, because they are paid by the hour... They need them to cut down the workload... When you make 'real' music you should make the effort to do it yourself i feel... |

You're right but its just not about lazyness. Sample CD's from reputed companies guarantee some sort of quality in the samples which makes the difference.
