Last night I was playing some of my tracks through a bigger system than I usually listen to them through and I noticed that in some of my tracks the percussion seems to be alittle out of sync with the kicks?
I use cubase and battery to create all my kick and percussion patterns and there always lined up properly. |

No I don't, I just have them as midi tracks in cubase and then I export the whole song in one go. |

I find if you experiment with the track delays you can get everything grooving much nicer, however some sounds have a pitch envelope that sounds great at low volumes, but really stand out like a sore thumb when the levels are up.
That kick thing really pisses me off. I used to love my middy sounding squelchy kicks, but now I realise they're the main suspects of this problem. I've tried layering but I can't get the same effect. Will keep trying though.
All the top artists would say to solo all of your rhythmic tracks on top of a metronome and make sure all the vital elements land where they should, just as you were recording live instruments. |

Also, do you hear this problem all the time on big systems, or just one that one particular system?
Quite often, behind the decks is the worst place there is to listen to the music, and the bigger the sound system is, the more delay there may be between your headphones and the real speakers. You could just be hearing echoes, sound reflections or delays between the mixer and system.
