you can use any reverb unit, hardware or software and set it up how you like it and that's it |

It's a CPU killer so bounce often

u just need small rooms indeed, any reverb will do... U can also use the gated reverb, with a sidechain it's easy... When there's sound coming in u hear verb, from the moment ur drumsound stops the reverb stops... like that u can put huge verb on drums without the problem of the tail trailing behind it... Classic trick from peter gabriel... |

I search for reverb that won't sound metallic, i see most of reverbs sound somehow metallic and i need softer results, eventhou i mix only 5% of signal.
Thanks

hmmm... That's hard... But the wood room presets from the lexicon 960 Sound a lot less metalic then most reverbs (u'll need the impulse responces and an impulse responce converter, cuz u don't want to buy that lexicon...) |

If u want somethin quick and easy just use the "drum room" setting on the waves trueverb and adjust the decay time accordingly.. |

Nah, it seems to me only impluses can produce wooden effect. I hate metalic, it's so overused and sometime ugly.
Thanks anyway i will stick to iR1.

If you can find the MPX-1's "Percussive plate" preset in software, download it and use it!

hi, i found this thread and got a question for the percussion thing...
do you use reverb on HH?
lets say so... i tried a bit, and my percussion where
totally messed.
i watched a video where the guy said, that a reverb
is good, if you dont hear it, but if you plug it out,
you´re missing something...
well like i said i tried it... my HH lost the SNAPPIENES, what i tried to compensate with
a compressor...
at first it sounded nice, but after 5min i listended to it again,
compaired with the dry percussion setting, and noticed how gimp it was;;
so any advice? i used the same FX send for each,
HH/snare... just playing around with different
send ratio.
nice weekend! cheers
