I didn't think dancing involved a shaman. Some ceremonies do but I like the idea that a DJ just controls the music ( and respect enough for that! Anyway it's a privelege for them) I think the vibe's always better when the people are more aware of eachother and the music than just the music and the dj.
You can't even see the guy/gal that well from the back and sides anywho! |

I don't believe the dj is the shaman, as for exemple Goa Gil do, I believe a dj is there to spin good music in a good way that make people dancing and having good time and fun
But for sure to do it in a good way you have to create a relation between you and the people dancing and listening...
This is what I was saying... anway the only fact why a dj is there is he has to spin good music, so the main thing is music and people dancing to it....

sure i agree
nowadays it has a lot to do with the mentality of each individual who participates at the party ...
and theres a lot of frustration about what is psychedelic trance ....

Close your eyes, empty your thoughts, Dance! Face the Moon or the constellation of your likings, thats a good place to travel to, may the Dj be enlightened enough to take you there (the artists that he is spinning i mean)... there is no proper behavior, only the one you chose to follow, let it be your own...

Good point psyman, you are absolutly right! I think it's because the crowd became so diverse that some of us don't feel anymore connected to the other dancing around them. They actually avoid to see them.
it's too bad that we tend to forget it's more than just a party with a dj playing, it's more of a gathering!

One of my reasons to face a DJ is when he also put up a "show" and sends energys to the crowd...
For example - Bliss ! (I just cant belive the energy this guy has)
Another thing I wanted to mention is that after all, we are listening to 1 men's creation, and he does stands up there...
