Now honest people You would know what I am talking about.
Why did we (me included sometimes) stopped dancing with each other at Psy parties and all started dancing with the DJ's? You all know what I mean everybody facing the DJ. Before (I mean couple of years back) and no this is not an attempt to remember the good all days people at Psy parties used to dance with each other, look in each others eyes, understand each other without speaking.
Please do not lecture me that "You need to go to the right parties" I do. But seriously I am sure You all have noticed that so why do we do that?
What is the reason?
People that do dance facing to the DJ please respond it is truly interesting why the focus has shifted from dancing with each other to dancing with the DJ |

because night psy 'trips' are not communal power trips like the time of goa trance.
U wish to get that vibe , attend progg parties.
or maybe move to aus bush party ! |

Yeah I understand but even in the morning when it is not a night trip I still see people.
By the way it is even more obvious at the Proggy parties.
Again I am not attacking no body just trying to understand why. |

because humans have forward facing ears and the speakers are facing us ? personally I like my clean stereo sound immensley... I don't care what the dj is doing... or where the DJ tipi is... I just want to be able to hear the best sound possible
and no I don't like quad or surround sound at parties it is shit and never done properly.
THe funny thing however was one party I went to where they had the DJ tent over to one side and the speakers were facing a different direction.... The dancefloor was split into two sides... the ones who were facing the dj dancing and the ones who were facing the speakers... pretty weird.. |

Exactly what I mean. What happened that everybody is in lines and facing the DJ and not being all over dancing with other people.
AT DENIS but they are not facing other people they are facing the DJ booth and the people in front of them facing the booth.
Before it used to be that everybody have been facing the crowd now they face the DJ. |

I think is because from passing from dat, were you could barely not really mix, we got the cd's, were the dj can really create a story in his mixing processus, so the people looks at him to create a connection between the crowd and the dj...
I think this is quite strong to see like in a goa gil party were he is the shaman and the crowd the initiated....
That's what could be...
Or maaybe it's just because we were programmed like that by our society and televisions and we look at the dj because we are too used to have somebody to follow, something to watch.... and so on
