i have a pentium 4/2.8 and use sx 2
when i use a padsound from the softsynth albino my processing power goes to 50%
a fiend of mine has an AMD 2.8 when he use the same pad sound his power goes to 20%

we made many tests... my computer is faster in every direction
but with the albino the AMD is faster

did somebody know something about this????

I've AMD Duron 1200 and Albino needs at least not more than 20%. ???

Is it a cracked version (if there is one)?

we both use the same version of albino

maybe the albino is not pentium optimized

> synth can't be not optinized to pentium or amd if it's for on one than must work on other

false.... it can be optimised for SSE2. However it that case it will work FASTER on the pentium 4 than the Athlon 2.8 which doesnt support the SSE2 instructions. This is the opposite behaviour to what mr Feuerhake says!!

Athlon is faster for floating point operations _not_ optimised for SSE2..... it is possible that this is the problem.

I have to say I am quite shocked even at 20%.... I have a 2000+ athlon and I never see more than 5-->10% from the albino. I guess I turn off the internal FX but even so....

In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

hmm was reading elsewhere about CPU issues on the albino...

I think that I rarely use it for pads, more often leads, and also usually monophonic. If you're using massive chords with 'both hands' then that is gonna be why you see so much more CPU usage than me (but still doesnt answer the main question, it is true).
