Hey all. My question goes like this:
I have AMD Athlon XP 1800 (model 8)
And i was wondering to start the upgrading. Now i thought first starting with a new Mobo and then buy a new CPU. I think about buying the new Mobo's that support the new 64bit processors. Now i wonder will those new motherboards support my old AMD 1800? Or i should buy the mobo with the new processor together?
Thanx in advance

The AMD 64 mobos have another sockel (dont know the name) so your old cpu will not fit to them
You have to buy a new CPU
Another point is your ram. I think you will need new too.
What ram you are using?
