If you have dedicated graphics, graphics cards can draw a bit of power and a lot of computer cases only come standard with single rail PSUs (not suitable for graphics cards). It may have worked for a while but the stress on the PSU would deteriorate quickly causing to fault as you have described. Check the specs on your PSU. If single rail, go to computer shop and purchase a dual rail (min 450watt)

If this isnt the issue, also be aware of faulty USB devices/cables as these can cause similar issues.

Hope this helps!

So after lots and lots of tests... The problem was really the PSU which was fucked and also fried one of my RAM sticks...

I did a memtest86 on it and it showed me one with lots of errors....

Now i only have 1 ram stick working and when i play a track it has glitches.... playing only on windows media player...

If i try any project of mine in cubase it does not even START... it becames a dbglitch going loco....

Now my main issue right now is the glitches that it does when any track plays from both windows media player and VLC... I did try once to put a usb soundcard instead of my pci but it still had glitches, the funny thing is that yesterday it was constantly with glitches and now its only like 1 in 1 minute...

What can it be? Any ideas?

Did you record it?

If I was you I would invest into a new computer. There are awesome machines out there and you will be happy once you see limitless possibilities becoming possible...

I did and am still smiling, big time!!!

Ok ok, grinning broadly with satisfaction is more like it...

And take the hdd out before it gets fried and with it all the projects...          Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

I would say it could be the video card. The PSU would be an obvious assumption, but it could also be due to dust causing the motherboard to short-out. Happened to me before.

I dont wanna get rid of this PC....

Its fixed the frying problem it was the PSU.... It does not disconnect now...

The video card is a motherboard one not a PCI and the pc is cleaner that most houses... lol...           Visit me
